I have planned on redoing my new apartment several weeks ago. When we hear of zen design we usually associate it with meditation. that is the main aim of the design it is to bring out the peace within our inner self therefore soothing the mind and then the body. The design was from japanese influence yet it is widely used in different countries. they are popularly used by japanese monks in their meditation. It usually has a naturalistic look where it uses earthly materials like green plants, gravel or sand which symbolizes mountains, hills or island which is accompanied by flowing water, these design seems inviting because it has calming effects to the mind.
